Aloe Vera Butter – Refined / Refined Source Oil

RidhSa Lipids Aloe Vera Butter is a derived semi-solid cosmetic ingredient based on a declared carrier oil, a suitable structuring lipid system and an aloe-derived component. It is not a naturally extracted fat from aloe leaves. The carrier oil may be refined or unrefined depending on the purchased grade, and the aloe ingredient may be an oil infusion, oil-compatible extract or another specified form. Consequently, the complete INCI and technical properties must be established from the actual manufacturing formulation rather than inferred from the product name. This butter can provide emollience, spreadability and structure in creams, balms, body butters and hair-care products. RidhSa Lipids recommends confirming carrier-oil grade, aloe content, melting range, microbial stability, preservative status and any botanical marketing claims before commercial use.

Overview

Botanical Name Aloe barbadensis Miller (syn. Aloe vera (L.) Burm.f.); carrier oil botanical name must be declared separately
Cas# No single CAS applies to a multi-ingredient aloe butter; list CAS identifiers for each ingredient based on actual formulation/SDS.
Color Typically ivory to pale cream, yellow or light green depending on ingredients; grade-specific.
Method Of Extraction Prepare or procure the declared aloe-derived ingredient and carrier oil, then blend with selected structuring lipids under controlled mixing and cooling. Actual carrier oil grade and processing must be documented.
Constituents Composition depends on the declared carrier oil, structuring lipids and aloe ingredient (extract, juice powder or oil infusion). Aloe polysaccharides are hydrophilic and do not dissolve in neat oils; presence and functionality depend on the delivery system.
Solubility Finished butter is predominantly oil-soluble and insoluble in water; aloe extract compatibility depends on its form and the blend formulation.
Specific Gravity No universal value; measure the finished blend at a defined temperature.
Flash Point Not routinely specified; obtain measured data for the finished blend if needed.

Benefits

Provides emollience and body to cosmetic formulas through its carrier and structuring lipids; aloe-related skin-conditioning claims depend on the verified aloe ingredient and its concentration.

Uses

Body butters, hand and foot balms, creams, lotions, lip-care bases, massage bars, soaps and hair conditioners; validate aloe stability and performance in the intended formulation.
Is aloe vera butter the same as pure aloe vera gel?
No. Aloe butter is generally oil-based and semi-solid, whereas aloe gel is water-rich.
It may be, but the grade is not established by the product name. Confirm the carrier oil and refining status with the manufacturer.
Not as a conventional oil-based butter. Any such claim requires clear evidence of composition and processing.
Potentially, if the aloe ingredient is compatible and microbial stability is verified; a water-based extract may change preservative requirements.
Request the full INCI, SDS, COA, botanical source details, composition statement and stability/microbiological data relevant to the formula.
